The Perfect Hard Boiled Egg

Are you ready for the perfect hard boiled egg? Place your eggs in a sauce pan of cold water, with one inch of water above the eggs. Bring to a boil and immediately take the eggs off of the heat. Allow eggs to sit covered for sixteen to seventeen minutes. Now place the eggs in a bowl of water and ice. This will keep the yolk nice and yellow. Once they are cool, they can be kept in the refrigerator for two to three days. Interestingly, Julia Child suggested keeping the eggs submerged in water while they are in the refrigerator to keep them fresh and delicious.
