Teaching Your Children to Floss
Unfortunately, cavities and dental problems are on the rise in pre-school aged children. It is important to teach good oral hygiene early, including flossing daily. Of course, those little fingers will have a hard time flossing every tooth, so your help is a must during floss time. Let your child floss the front teeth and whatever he or she can do in the back. Then it’s your turn – floss the bottom teeth first, and then ask your child to sit for the top teeth. Stand behind your child and have him or her tilt the head back. This gives you an easy path to the top back molars – making flossing a breeze!
