Garlic’s Healing Powers

Garlic is a wonderful healing food that can help to prevent the common cold. It contains allicin which fights bacteria and infection. As a matter of fact, a recent study gave 146 individuals either garlic or a placebo for 12 weeks. Of the people that were given garlic, 2/3 were less likely to catch a cold than those taking the placebo. It has also been found that people who eat over six cloves of garlic a week have a 30% lower rate of colorectal cancer and 50% lower rate of stomach cancer. Try to eat two cloves of garlic a day to maximize the benefits of this tasty food – just remember to brush your teeth!
