Here is a fun game you can play with small children at your next birthday party. Instead of using a piñata, which can cause tears and frustration, use your sand box for some digging fun. Purchase the same types of knick-knacks and candy that you would for a piñata. Now bury them in your sandbox before the party. Tell all the children to sit around the sandbox and get ready to dig for treasure. But there is one little twist to this game. The children cannot use hands – they have to dig with their bare feet! This works well with a small party of young children. Once the children have found all the treasure, divide the loot up into party bags so everyone gets the same thing. Again, fewer tears and more fun!
