Is That Dish Microwave Safe?

How do you know if your dish is microwave safe? Here is a simple test that will tell you just that!

Place your dish in the microwave. Put ½ a cup of water in a microwave safe measuring cup and place it next to the dish. Turn on your microwave for one minute.

When the minute is over, your cup of water should be hot. The plate should have remained cool. If your dish is noticeably hot, it may crack in the microwave and is therefore not microwave safe.
